West Georgia Underground Radio has been transmitting what we God Damned please since 2002. This came about because most of west Georgia radio is dominated by big fat Atlanta stations who saturate the airwaves with STUPID morning shows (with stupid "characters". as if written by a 6th grade teacher smoking a Blunt), about 25 CDs worth of music and a fuck load of commercials.
Fuck That.
They don't know shit about what we want to hear. Those of us out in the sticks. Backwater, hick towns like Douglasville, Villa Rica, Bremen, Carrollton and Hiram. Instead they sell us chain food, chain cars, chain insurance and chain pest control. Lots of fucking chains. They don't all suck, of course. But the ones who squash local businesses, are fucked. So if you hear a commercial on one of our stations, it's not because we're being paid. It's because we're not being bribed by downtown Atlanta.
Over the web we can provide more variety of programming than we can cover on FM. The FM stations are power limited to avoid going inside of 285 or crossing into Alabummer.
